Job Summary

CRDB Bank is seeking a Zonal Business Support Officer to drive business growth within the Northern Zone. The role involves analyzing branch performance, supporting digital banking expansion, and providing data-driven insights to enhance profitability. The successful candidate will work closely with Zone managers, branch teams, and other stakeholders to ensure business targets are met while optimizing operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Business Performance & Analysis

  • Conduct branch performance reviews through data analysis against sales targets and annual budgets.
  • Present performance insights to Zone managers, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Develop business forecasts and support budget planning for branches within the Zone.
  • Ensure accurate segmentation of newly onboarded clients to maximize revenue from account-related fees.

Digital Banking & Customer Onboarding

  • Support branches in expanding digital banking channels, including Internet Banking, Sim Banking, and card services.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new clients across all platforms and ensure continued account activity.
  • Work closely with the Value Chain Unit to maximize business opportunities through value chain models.

Marketing & Business Development

  • Organize forums, meetings, campaigns, and roadshows to promote banking products to customers and non-customers.
  • Identify market challenges affecting business growth and propose strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure timely execution of tasks assigned by Head Office units that do not have relationship managers at the zonal level.

Training & Internal Support

  • Assist in training new staff on bank products, services, and business analytics to ensure consistency in operations.
  • Provide structured support to branches, ensuring they meet business and operational targets.
  • Build strong relationships with Zone, branch, and Head Office teams to enhance collaboration.

Required Qualifications

Requirement Details
Education Bachelor’s degree in Business-related fields or equivalent
Additional Courses Business Analytics and Data Management (added advantage)
Experience Minimum of 3 years in branch operations
Technical Skills Business performance analytics, data management, and financial reporting
Soft Skills Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills
Banking Knowledge Strong understanding of bank products, services, and operational procedures
Other Skills Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and strategic planning abilities
