Role Overview

The Wire Transfer Call Back Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the security and accuracy of payment processes. You will be responsible for performing effective call backs, managing risks, and adhering to payment policies and procedures. Your role is essential in preventing fraud and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payment Verification and Call Back (60%)

  • Receive, assess, and verify payment instructions.
  • Perform call backs to customers on their payment instructions/STOs as per procedure.
  • Manage the payments call back queue and ensure all supporting documents are attached.
  • Maintain error-free processing and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

2. Governance, Control, and Risk Management (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the payment department.
  • Achieve operational rigor excellence and manage risks effectively.

3. Operations Efficiency (15%)

  • Support cost minimization and improve operational processes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide cover for the team leader as needed.

  • Multi-Skilled Operationally: Capable of handling various tasks and responsibilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick thinker with excellent attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computer use and understanding payment systems.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand and meet customer needs effectively.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Strong operational awareness and data privacy understanding.
  • Proactive, time-conscious, and a team player.

Preferred:

  • Customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and product knowledge.
  • Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies.
