Job Description
Johari Rotana is currently seeking passionate and dynamic finance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.
As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the receiving function in a timely, smooth and efficient manner, while ensuring all goods procured at the hotel meet quality requirements and are in accordance with the company’s policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all items received at the hotel are in conformance with the LPO, hotel policies, and hygiene standards.
- Physically inspect goods as necessary for count, weight, and other visually identifiable product specifications prior to receiving.
- Ensure that inspected goods are delivered to relevant departments and necessary acknowledgements are obtained from department heads or their representatives.
- Review supplier invoices to ensure that they are original with copies, numbered, itemized with clear descriptions, and free from clerical errors. Acknowledge satisfactory delivery with hotel seal and signature.
- Process supplier invoices in FBM in accordance with company standards and in a timely manner.
- Review and process the Deviations Report and Outstanding Order Report in line with hotel standards.
- Weekly review of Outgoing Records (OR) for serial control and completeness. Identify and follow up on outstanding ORs with relevant departments.
- Maintain both manual and computer filing systems, ensuring files are properly named, catalogued, and access is restricted to authorized personnel.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, while also conserving the environment.
- Comply with all hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in hotel management, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- At least one year of prior experience in a similar role within a hotel environment.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Must be computer literate.
- Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is an added advantage.
