Job Description

Derm Group (T) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Electrical Engineer to join their team for a substation project based in Dar es Salaam.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical substation layouts and specifications
• Perform engineering calculations for equipment sizing and system performance
• Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning of substation equipment
• Conduct site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to substations
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project success
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of engineering activities
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Registered professional status
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience (substation experience is not mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
