Job Purpose:
The Relationship Manager for Affluent clients is responsible for managing client relationships within the assigned branch by ensuring customer satisfaction, retaining existing customers, and acquiring new customers through sales activities. The role focuses on growing high-net-worth clients’ assets and liabilities across public sector, government, institutional, corporate, and SME clients.
Main Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Growth: Responsible for growing the portfolio (Assets, Liabilities, Investment Products, and Insurance) through customer visits, sales, and retention.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee portfolio movement reports for yourself and your team, addressing any abnormalities observed.
- Customer Retention: Maximize customer value through cross-selling NMB products to the affluent segment.
- Risk Management: Minimize risks and ensure compliance with KYC and AML regulations in managing the portfolio.
- Service Quality: Maintain high service standards and manage customer expectations through prompt handling of queries, complaints, and correspondence.
- Leadership & Coaching: Guide and coach other bank employees on managing Private Banking clients.
- Client Engagement: Maintain an effective call program for all allocated relationships and prospects, ensuring documentation of all interactions.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed of product and service developments, suggesting improvements for the affluent segment.
- Customer Events: Organize and propose quarterly events to engage and enhance relationships with Private Banking clients, improving the NMB brand.
- Client Interviews: Conduct screening interviews with prospective clients and maintain familiarity with relevant documents.
- Product Knowledge: Stay well-versed in all bank products and services, adapting to changes in technology and customer needs.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of bank products, operations, and regulations specific to Private Banking clients.
- Strong understanding of Private Banking client needs and ability to offer appropriate solutions.
- Excellent client management, communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and simplify complex information.
- Leadership and coaching skills.
- Credit assessment skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking operations and/or relationship management of high-net-worth clients.
- Experience in credit assessment is required.
