PASSPORT TO COFFEE EXPORT (PACE) PROJECT
Passport to Coffee Export (PACE) is a four-year project funded by the European Union (EU), targeting around 22,500 coffee smallholder farmers in Mbeya, Ruvuma, and Songwe regions in Tanzania.
The overall objective of the PACE project is to develop a sustainable and export-oriented coffee value chain by 2024. Despite AMCOS and farmer groups playing a significant role in boosting coffee exports, these groups face challenges such as limited staff capacity in business management, lack of entrepreneurial skills, and weak management of funds.
The project aims to provide training to AMCOS and board leaders on record keeping, financial literacy, and business planning, enabling them to manage cooperative businesses efficiently.
SCOPE OF WORK
PACE Project seeks qualified individuals to:
- Provide training on record keeping and financial literacy to 65 AMCOS.
- Offer business management, planning, and business case development training to 65 AMCOS.
- Support each AMCOS group in developing a business case.
ACTIVITIES
- Facilitate training on the areas mentioned above.
- Guide the development of business cases for each AMCOS group.

- Solidaridad will provide the trainer with relevant project background information.
- Introductions to the project team will be facilitated for preparatory planning. Trainers will be responsible for external contacts while keeping the Solidaridad team informed.
- Training participants will be identified and proposed by Solidaridad.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong background in business development training and facilitation.
- Must be registered with Tanzania Revenue Authority and able to provide EFD receipts.
