Job Description

As a Corporate Banker, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of credit portfolio information, performing credit analysis, and ensuring compliance with KYC and AML regulations. Your role will also include preparing credit applications and supporting the Relationship Manager in portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and provide quality market intelligence to support credit analysis.
• Prepare comprehensive credit reports for credit committee reviews.
• Maintain personal competence in credit analysis tasks.
• Ensure the quality of credit portfolio information and monitor portfolio maintenance.
• Minimize risk exposure associated with KYC and AML processes.
• Consistently apply established policies, processes, and tools for efficiency, compliance, and cost containment.

Competence Requirements

• Strong technical skills to perform credit analysis and maintain high-quality portfolio standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage customer expectations and stakeholder relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of lending business and banking products.
• Ability to apply banking policies, processes, and procedures effectively to meet compliance benchmarks.
• A collaborative mindset to support open communication, teamwork, and trust.

Main Activities

• Review credit requests, including financial and credit information for corporate clients.
• Prepare credit applications with the support of the Relationship Manager, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
• Ensure full compliance with KYC and AML requirements.
• Maintain and update financial information on loan accounts, including financial covenants.
• Monitor asset and liability customers to avoid unapproved excesses.
• Conduct economic analysis, industry studies, and stress tests to recommend strategies for credit portfolio management.
• Perform proactive monitoring of the credit portfolio to detect potential problem credits.
• Conduct annual reviews of security documentation for all corporate accounts.
• Deliver a customer service experience that aligns with KCB Bank’s mission.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• University Degree or Professional Qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Office applications.
