Job Summary
Fema Mining & Drilling Limited is seeking a skilled Multiskilled Operator (Grader, Truck) to join our Open Pit Mining Department. The selected candidate will undergo a practical training and assessment before final appointment. This role involves operating mining equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate graders, trucks, and other heavy mining equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct safety pre-start checks and report equipment faults promptly.
- Follow instructions from qualified trainers and supervisors during training.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations at all times.
- Work as part of a team to achieve mining operation targets.
- Maintain and inspect assigned equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform duties with strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Minimum Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) is an advantage.
- Valid Tanzania Driver’s License (Class B & D or higher).
- Operator Certificate from a recognized technical training institution.
Experience & Skills
- 2-3 years of experience in mining or construction projects is an added advantage.
- Technical knowledge of Excavator, Wheel Loader, Grader, Bulldozer, and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to pass a site test before appointment as a trainee.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and operational compliance.
- Physically and mentally fit to operate heavy machinery.
Additional Requirements
- Valid NIDA ID or NIDA Number.
- TIN Number from Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Introduction letter from Local Government Authority.
- Reference letters from two referees.
- Fluent in Kiswahili and/or English.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
