Job Summary

DP World is looking for a Branch Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our Freight Forwarding branch. This position is responsible for overseeing the commercial, operational, administrative, and financial functions of the branch. The successful candidate will ensure profitability, compliance, and trade development while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence. With a focus on continuous improvement and business growth, the Branch Manager will drive a collaborative team environment, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure staff success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of six staff members.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management within the team.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging accountability and development.
Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

2. Operations Management

Establish branch resources, systems, and processes to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee all operational activities, including import/export processes, customs clearance, documentation, logistics, and transportation.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Implement continuous improvements to increase operational efficiency and productivity.

3. Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute strategies to meet branch-specific sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth.
Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with clients, and expand the customer base.
Work with the sales team to create and implement effective marketing and promotional initiatives.

4. Customer Service Excellence

Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, ensuring services are delivered promptly and accurately.
Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently, maintaining positive client relationships.
Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide suitable solutions.

5. Financial & Budget Management

Oversee the branch’s budget, tracking expenses and ensuring financial targets are met.
Review and analyze financial reports, implementing cost-saving measures where applicable.
Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate billing and financial reconciliation.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Certifications: Relevant professional certifications in Freight Forwarding or Logistics are a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience (4-6 years) in a leadership position within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Solid understanding of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and transportation logistics.
- Strong knowledge of incoterms and their application in client relationships.
