Job Summary

Selcom Microfinance Bank Tanzania is seeking a skilled Information System Auditor to join its Internal Audit team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and conducting IT audits to enhance operational efficiency and security.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Compliance

• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, including general and application controls.
• Conduct information system reviews, including system development standards, security, programming, communication controls, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies.

Audit Execution

• Participate in audit entrance meetings, defining audit objectives and scope.
• Prepare audit reports, including root cause analysis, risks, and recommendations.
• Conduct closure meetings to finalize audit findings and obtain management responses.

Reporting & Risk Management

• Prepare final audit reports for management review.
• Promote a risk management culture and oversee risk remediation efforts.
• Ensure effective utilization of internal audit tools and systems.

Collaboration & Team Support

• Maintain communication with internal departments to foster collaboration.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues during audit assignments.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CEH, CHFI, or CISSP are required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong audit, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
