Job Summary
CRDB Bank is seeking an experienced ICT Network Specialist to manage and optimize our LAN & WAN infrastructures. In this role, you will monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high network security standards to support our banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Management: Oversee and resolve critical network incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Network Analysis & Design: Analyze network infrastructure; contribute to the design, integration, and enhancement of our systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Configuration & Maintenance: Configure routers, switches, and firewalls; conduct routine maintenance and performance optimization.
- Vendor Coordination: Serve as the technical liaison with vendors, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Documentation & Training: Develop and update network documentation; provide training to Tier 1 & 2 support teams.
- Support: Offer troubleshooting support to remote ICT and branch teams to ensure seamless business operations.
- Reporting: Administer network monitoring tools and generate periodic performance reports.
- Project Involvement: Participate in IT infrastructure projects and assist with IT equipment procurement and tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Technology or a related field.
- Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, and Certified WAN Professional (CWP) are essential.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in network and infrastructure management, preferably in a banking environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, firewalls, and switches; strong knowledge in network security and compliance.
- Additional Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
