Job Title: Head of Public Relations and Communication Unit

Job Overview:
The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat on behalf of COPRA invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for one (1) post of Head of Public Relations and Communication Unit. The selected candidate will lead communication strategies that enhance COPRA’s visibility, public engagement, and policy advocacy, while serving as the organization’s spokesperson.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute public relations and communication strategies.
Oversee internal and external communication, ensuring alignment with the authority’s objectives.
Manage media relations and act as the organization’s spokesperson.
Coordinate public awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement programs.
Supervise digital presence, social media, and corporate branding efforts.
Implement crisis communication strategies and manage reputational risks.
Evaluate communication effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
Lead the communication team and manage related budgets.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, or related fields.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience at a senior level in communication roles.
Proficiency in modern communication tools and social media.
Experience in the agricultural sector and stakeholder engagement is an added advantage.
Strong leadership, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
