Job Summary

This role oversees the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, network connectivity, cybersecurity, applications, and communication infrastructure at the Dar es Salaam port. The incumbent ensures compliance with IT standards, procedures, and best practices in support of DP World’s 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and align the Master IT Plan with BU strategic objectives and Group technology roadmap.
• Lead IT project execution ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and cost control.
• Maintain cybersecurity infrastructure and implement Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Manage IT audits, infrastructure, vendor relationships, and application lifecycles.
• Implement and oversee ITIL-based operations management frameworks.
• Integrate key systems like Zodiac CT & GC, Maximo, Oracle Fusion, RFID, TANCIS, and more.
• Maintain IT asset lifecycle, documentation, and ensure budget alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• Certifications in Project Management and ITIL are preferred.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a 24/7 IT operations environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing business IT requirements and processes.
• Strong understanding of ports and logistics systems such as Zodiac | Navis | Sparcs.
• Advanced technical proficiency in IT governance, support systems, and procurement.
