Job Summary
Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML), a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, is looking for a Grade Control Assistant to support RC drilling operations. The role ensures quality sample recovery, accurate data documentation, and adherence to QAQC standards to minimize contamination and sample loss.
Key Responsibilities
Grade Control & Sampling
- Execute grade control sampling procedures at RC drilling areas.
- Ensure all samples are collected, bagged, labeled, and documented as per standard procedures.
- Prepare sample bags and chip trays, ensuring correct documentation of sample numbers and QAQC details.
- Transport collected samples from drilling sites to the geology dispatch area while maintaining QAQC standards.
Reporting & Documentation
- Complete and submit the Grade Control end-of-shift summary report to the supervisor.
- Record accurate data into tally sheets, reports, and other adopted systems.
Operational Support
- Provide Direct Output Support (DOS) to the Supervisor – Mine Geology on drilling practices and ore dilution control.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in RC grade control drilling and recommend improvements.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all geology work is conducted in a safe, environmentally responsible manner.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in all grade control operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience

| License | Valid Tanzanian driving license (Class B & D) |
| Experience | Minimum of 1 year in geology within an open-pit mining environment |
| Technical Skills | Knowledge of RC sampling techniques, QAQC standards, and data recording |
| Soft Skills | Strong communication skills and attention to detail |
