About KOFIH Tanzania:
The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) Tanzania Office, established in 2017 in Dar es Salaam, has been at the forefront of various global health projects in collaboration with Tanzania’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG). Since its initial cooperation with Tanzania in 2009, KOFIH has been dedicated to enhancing the healthcare system through innovative public health initiatives.
KOFIH Tanzania has spearheaded significant projects, including the Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Care project in Pwani and Dodoma regions, the Hospital Management Technical Support Program for Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) Mloganzila Campus, and the Strengthening of the National Public Health Laboratory. The Health Equity Promotion Project, Dr. LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program, and the training program for biomedical engineers and technicians are among other notable initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.
As KOFIH expands its healthcare support projects, we are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Project Coordinator (Project Officer).
Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator (Project Officer) will contribute to addressing health issues across various sectors in Tanzania using innovative public health methodologies. The role involves close collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Project Management Committee (PMC), and other stakeholders to ensure the success of KOFIH projects. Key responsibilities include planning and managing projects, monitoring performance indicators, providing technical guidance, and fostering partnerships to promote the sustainability of project activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage projects to achieve targets per the approved work plan and performance framework.
- Ensure timely and quality completion of all program deliverables and reports.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of health system strengthening activities.
- Establish and refine monitoring systems and tools to measure project progress.
- Conduct onsite field supervision and evaluations to monitor project activities.
- Manage M&E data collection, analysis, and reporting on performance indicators.
- Foster strong partnerships and collaborations with MOH, PO-RALG, and other stakeholders.
- Promote the sustainability of project activities through effective networking and linkages to other programs.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, and organizing logistics.
- Coordinate project-related events like workshops, conferences, and seminars.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and regular communication with team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by discussing project progress and suggesting enhancements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Science, Health Science, Nursing, or Medicine.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably with governmental or international agencies and NGOs.
- Experience with international development organizations and knowledge of reporting procedures.
- Exceptional English written and oral communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a consultative environment.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Excellent computer literacy with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
- Professionalism, accuracy, attention to detail, multitasking, teamwork, and discretion.
