About the Project
The EACOP project is a major infrastructure development spanning 1,443 kilometers. It will transport heavy, waxy crude oil from Uganda’s Albertine Graben region to a terminal in Tanga, Tanzania. This pipeline system includes Pipeline, Above Ground Installations (AGIs), and the Marine Storage Terminal (MST), highlighting the project’s scale and importance.

Scholarship Details
- Duration: 18 months (12 months coursework + 6 months research dissertation)
- Location: University of Dar es Salaam main campus
- Coverage: Tuition fees, registration fees, 18 months stipend, and research funds
Activities Included
- Full-time coursework at UDSM
- Research dissertation in the chosen field of study
- Optional site visits related to the field

Eligibility Criteria
- Recent Bachelor’s degree holders (graduated within the last 3 years, from 2021 onwards)
- Minimum GPA of 3.5 in relevant disciplines
- Tanzanian citizenship
- Proficiency in English (written, reading, and speaking)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information
- Admission to one of the listed master programs at UDSM
- Women are encouraged to apply
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their applications, including a motivation statement, via the provided Google form by 30th June 2024. Note that academic transcripts, A-level certificates, O-level certificates, and birth certificates are not required at the application stage. The EACOP scholarship program will obtain these documents from the UDSM admission system for selected applicants.
