Role Overview
As an Autonomous Maintenance Operator, you will play a crucial role in performing, supervising, and coordinating repairs and changeovers of equipment. Your responsibilities will include replacing worn parts, assisting during major maintenance, and developing troubleshooting diagrams. You will also engage in basic condition monitoring and enhance operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise:
- Apply your technical skills to operate, maintain, and repair equipment, ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.
- Conduct changeovers, basic repairs, and adjustments, utilizing lubrication regimes and understanding pneumatics and basic electrical tasks.
Safety and Environmental Management:
- Implement safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment and minimize waste and environmental impact.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold Diageo’s quality procedures to protect and enhance brand and product integrity.
Leadership and Coaching:
- Foster a high-performing autonomous team through effective communication and collaboration. Champion skill development and drive excellence.
Continuous Improvement:
- Utilize performance metrics to identify and address production losses, applying problem-solving techniques to enhance efficiency.
Production and Administration:
- Align with production plans, monitor performance, and manage team resources effectively. Support shift coverage, new employee induction, and address performance issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a relevant field. A certificate in an appropriate engineering discipline is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, maintenance, or process control in a brewery, drinks, or food manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Permit to Work system, SBL SHE policies, and teamwork principles.
