Who We Are

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is a Midstream development spanning Uganda and Tanzania. It incorporates a nearshore Marine Storage and Export Terminal (MST). EACOP operates a 1,443 km electrically heated crude oil export pipeline, transporting oil from Kabaale, Hoima in Uganda to the Chongoleani Peninsula near Tanga Port in Tanzania, for export to international markets.

Job Overview

The Operations Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing service contracts and overseeing transportation services within the operational area, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in place at EACOP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Manage service contracts, including vehicle maintenance, utility services, housekeeping, domestic waste disposal, and catering.
  • Community Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for all community landlords within EACOP’s operational areas.
  • Transportation Services: Schedule transportation services, including site shuttles within the operational area.
  • Personnel Movements: Monitor inter-site personnel movements, especially to unmanned stations.
  • Route Planning: Allocate drivers and plan routes efficiently.
  • Diesel Inventory: Manage and monitor diesel inventory at all sites for operational vehicles.
  • Site Audits: Conduct periodic site visits for audits, inspections, and evaluation of operational needs.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee all aspects of facilities and general services for EACOP properties in Tanzania.

Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

  • Fully comply with Company H3SE (Health, Safety, Social Security, and Environment) policies and Life-Saving Rules.
  • Actively participate in HSEQ initiatives and promote a safety culture.
  • Report unsafe conditions and any HSE-related concerns to management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace, practicing good housekeeping.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, especially in facility management.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent time management, organizational skills, logistics software or transportation management systems experience, and basic accounting knowledge.
