Role Overview
As the MI & Impairment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing data quality and reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting various business models. Your responsibilities will include:

Data Quality Management (20%)
- Ensure data integrity by comparing data from Group IT with local servers.
- Identify and resolve data anomalies, suggesting IT solutions as needed.
- Continuously improve reporting processes and tools for better efficiency.
- Manage end-to-end MI reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Reconciliation of Reports (20%)
- Prepare and manage input files for reconciliation between Retail Risk and Finance.
- Use SAS codes to perform reconciliations and address data mismatches.
- Obtain necessary sign-offs from Finance and Credit Risk Heads.

Retail Portfolio Forecasts (20%)
- Develop and document models for Retail forecasts such as STP, RAF, and MTP.
- Present forecasts and document assumptions, managing deviations against actuals.

Impairment Reporting (10%)
- Prepare and validate impairment numbers for daily and periodic submissions.
- Provide detailed MI reports for the NBC Impairment Committee and investigate anomalies.

Compliance with Impairment Model Risk Policy (10%)
- Ensure adherence to the Impairment Model Risk Policy and manage key parameters like PD and LGD.

Support to Business Models (10%)
- Analyze and support business models impacting credit risk.
- Suggest improvements and coordinate the preparation of reports on retail impairments.

Regulatory Reporting (5%)
- Prepare monthly and periodic reports for regulatory provisioning related to retail impairments.

Retail Portfolio Write-Offs (5%)
- Review accounts for regulatory and internal write-offs and forecast impacts on the portfolio.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Risk Management.
- Minimum 2 years in Credit Risk Management, with at least 1 year in a banking environment.
- Proven experience in portfolio performance management and financial reporting.
