Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing credit assessment, approval, and monitoring processes to ensure sound lending practices and minimal risk exposure for the company. The Credit Manager will play a key role in maintaining the company’s portfolio quality and supporting its growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and approve loan applications, ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and procedures
• Conduct regular credit risk assessments and portfolio reviews to minimize risks and defaults
• Collaborate with the Arrears Manager to ensure effective loan recovery strategies are in place
• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures
• Provide leadership in credit risk management, training, and mentoring staff
• Ensure timely reporting and analysis of credit-related metrics to senior management
• Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit management, preferably in microfinance or banking
• Strong understanding of credit risk management and lending processes
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
