Job Summary
Equity Bank is looking for experienced Corporate Banking Relationship Managers to initiate and manage strong client relationships, drive business development, and ensure portfolio growth. This role focuses on deposit mobilization, revenue generation, loan book expansion, risk management, and overall client satisfaction.
The ideal candidates should possess strong financial acumen, corporate banking experience, and excellent relationship management skills to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relationship Management
- Implement corporate banking strategies to acquire and maintain corporate clients.
- Originate and develop new business opportunities to achieve set revenue targets.
- Assess customer wallets to identify cross-sell opportunities and maximize business potential.
- Develop and execute plans to enhance customer relationships and portfolio profitability.
- Act as the primary contact person for corporate customers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Explore market opportunities, generate and track sales leads, and close business deals.
- Drive deposit growth and loan book expansion while ensuring compliance with credit policies.
- Prepare high-quality credit proposals, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to bank policies.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure strict compliance with Bank of Tanzania Prudential Regulations and internal bank policies.
- Manage corporate banking relationships to maintain asset quality and mitigate risks.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with loan covenants, terms, and conditions.
Team Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless corporate banking strategy execution.
- Provide support and mentorship to junior staff for effective business development and portfolio management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Requirement | Details |
---|---|
Education | Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage. |
Experience | At least 3 years in Corporate Banking or 5 years in upper SME Banking. |
Technical Knowledge | Strong understanding of corporate financial solutions, lending cycles, and credit underwriting. |
Skills | Advanced sales, interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills. Strong ability to analyze market trends and create business strategies. |
Regulatory Knowledge | Familiarity with banking industry regulations, especially compliance with Bank of Tanzania guidelines. |
