Job Summary
Nyanza Cooperative Union (NCU) 1984 LTD, one of Tanzania’s largest Cooperative Unions, is seeking a Chief Accountant to manage financial planning, reporting, and resource management. The role involves overseeing financial operations, advising management on asset utilization, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare income, expenditure, and cash flow estimates.
- Control debt, instruct on fund usage, and maintain financial records.
- Verify and report annual expenditure details to the Board.
- Prepare and submit annual financial accounts for external audits.
- Advise the General Manager and Board on fund and asset management.
- Oversee financial resources, including buildings and fields.
- Submit quarterly financial statements to the Board.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (T), ACCA, CFA, or other recognized accounting certification registered by NBAA.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills, integrity, adaptability, and fluency in English and Kiswahili.
