Job Summary
DCB Commercial Bank PLC, a leading retail and commercial bank in Tanzania, is looking for a Branch Manager to oversee branch operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing sales strategies, managing branch performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with banking regulations.
This role requires a strong leader with proven experience in banking operations, customer relationship management, and financial performance optimization. The Branch Manager will also be accountable for meeting business targets, managing risks, and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute a workplace banking sales plan to drive business growth.
- Grow a quality asset and liability portfolio by retaining existing customers and attracting new ones.
- Generate revenue by increasing non-funded and non-interest income through innovative banking solutions.
2. Customer Relationship & Market Positioning
- Enhance customer experience by ensuring efficient service delivery and personalized banking solutions.
- Build and maintain positive business relationships with High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients and key stakeholders.
- Position DCB Bank as a leading financial solutions provider in the market.
3. Branch Operations & Compliance
- Manage branch budget and resources efficiently to optimize performance.
- Ensure adherence to BoT, CMSA, TRA, DSE, and ELRA regulations.
- Implement and monitor all banking processes and procedures in line with DCB Bank policies.
4. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance targets.
- Manage team performance in alignment with bank strategy and policies.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the branch to enhance service excellence.
5. Risk & Financial Management
- Analyze financial statements to ensure creditworthiness and risk management.
- Work with senior management to optimize operational costs while maintaining productivity.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies for branch success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in banking business or branch operations.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and financial management.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in driving performance and achieving targets.
- Strong sales, credit analysis, and relationship management abilities.
