Job Summary
Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo), a constituent college of Tumaini University Makumira, is seeking a qualified Internal Auditor to support its financial oversight and internal control systems. The successful candidate will assist in auditing financial operations, evaluating internal accounting procedures, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Compliance
- Assist in reviewing internal control systems and recommend improvements.
- Support the execution of financial and operational internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with accepted accounting and auditing principles.
- Review financial and operational activities and submit quarterly reports.
Financial Oversight & Risk Management
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal accounting procedures and operating controls.
- Ensure adherence to procurement and fiscal accountability plans.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and report findings to the Chief Internal Auditor and Provost.
- Advise on financial management and asset control.
Reporting & Support
- Assist in preparing Audit Committee materials.
- Respond to ad-hoc audit requests and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Commerce (Accounting), Business Administration (Accounting), or equivalent |
| Professional Certifications | CPA (T) or ACCA |
| Registration | Must be registered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) as a Graduate Accountant (GA) |
| Experience | Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (preferred) |
| Skills & Abilities | Analytical thinking, data analysis, integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, IT skills, and teamwork spirit |
Remuneration
A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with the KCMUCo Schemes of Service and Staff Regulations.
