Major Responsibilities
Project Direct Implementation
- Ensure high-quality project implementation and timely reporting
- Collaborate with partners, LGAs, and stakeholders for policy influence
- Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure inclusion of vulnerable households
- Promote peace and gender equality among host and refugee communities
Project Budget and Resource Management
- Participate in budgeting and review processes
- Monitor resource usage in compliance with donor and organizational standards
- Create synergies with local government for integrated planning
Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning (MEAL) and Reporting
- Work closely with MEAL Officer on project’s theory of change
- Support baseline data collection and learning forums
- Submit quality progress reports and attend project reviews
Networking, Visibility, and Donor Recognition
- Foster relationships with stakeholders and local authorities
- Represent the project in learning workshops and public forums
- Promote project branding and document lessons learned
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Professional Experience
- Minimum 6 months in agricultural or rural development projects
- Experience with INGOs, WFP, and/or UN Agencies preferred
- Experience in rural and refugee/host community settings
- Familiarity with GESI, environment, and market-led approaches is an advantage
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, General Agriculture, Rural Development, Community Development, or related field
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Strong report writing and facilitation skills
- Understanding of local advocacy strategies
- Fluent in English and Swahili
- Skilled in documentation and communication
