Role Purpose

To implement and maintain cost-effective procurement practices including purchasing, leasing, and overall supply chain management to ensure maximum shareholder return and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate preparation of material and supply budgets.
• Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and reduce costs.
• Understand internal customer needs; manage lead times and ensure timely delivery.
• Prioritize procurement based on AOGs, critical and scheduled needs.
• Coordinate full supply chain processes from requisition to delivery.
• Monitor market trends affecting procurement and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Ensure purchase requests maximize value for organizational needs.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders using internal systems.
• Maintain supplier performance and ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage supplier database and evaluate vendor effectiveness.

Performance Indicators

• Inventory accuracy
• Minimum stock level compliance
• Timely requisitions
• Zero damages, spoilage, obsolescence
• Zero opportunity cost
• Zero audit findings (internal/external)

Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Team player with integrity
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain or Logistics
• Computer knowledge and experience with financial/procurement systems
• PSPTB registration is required
• PSPTB or related certification is an added advantage
• Internship experience or at least one year of relevant exposure preferred
