Job Purpose
The Welding Supervisor will oversee welding operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all assigned tasks. This role involves managing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks while providing technical support and training to the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all welding activities comply with workplace safety standards.
- Identify and manage workplace hazards to prevent accidents.
- Enforce environmental compliance and best practices in welding operations.
Technical Supervision & Training
- Provide expert guidance to maintenance teams and trade personnel.
- Monitor workforce skill levels and offer on-the-job training.
- Maintain a training register and ensure personnel can work independently.
Quality Control & Maintenance
- Develop scopes of work for welding-related maintenance tasks.
- Oversee and inspect all welding work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure correct welding techniques and fitment practices are applied.
- Monitor ongoing maintenance work and implement improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications & Experience

| Education | VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One/Level Three in Welding or equivalent |
| License | Valid Tanzanian Driving License |
| Experience | Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in mining or heavy industry |
