Job Summary
Equity Bank is seeking a Quality Assurance & Testing Lead to develop and implement quality assurance standards for IT services. The role involves analyzing data to support business cases, creating test plans, tracking software defects, and ensuring IT systems meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to validate IT processes through careful testing.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Develop and implement quality assurance standards for new and existing applications.
- Create and execute test plans and scripts to ensure optimal application performance.
- Conduct software testing, including system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing.
- Analyze test results to identify defects, bugs, and configuration issues.
Systems & Documentation
- Analyze technical documentation for new applications and assess intended functionality.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with software development and system performance standards.
- Maintain and update quality assurance documentation as needed.
- Participate in the development of change control processes for IT systems.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to assess applications under consideration.
- Collaborate with software developers, analysts, and system owners on new software testing.
- Communicate test progress, results, and findings to project stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and resolve system issues to improve IT service delivery.
- Ensure new software integrations meet business requirements and compliance standards.
- Develop testing strategies to enhance the efficiency of existing systems.
Required Qualifications

| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Business, ICT, or related discipline. MBA is an added advantage. |
| Experience | 2-5 years in IT Service Delivery, Technical Account Management, or Project Management. |
| Technical Skills | Experience in software testing, QA analysis, and application integration. |
| Soft Skills | Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. |
