Job Summary

Equity Bank is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Brand & Product Marketing to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive product success, enhance brand positioning, and ensure income growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly skilled in brand management, product marketing, and campaign execution, with the ability to build strong relationships and deliver results across multiple touchpoints.


Key Responsibilities

Brand & Product Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies for products and services across multiple channels (ATL & BTL).
  • Oversee the coordination of product marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic marketing plan.
  • Monitor product performance, adjusting strategies to maximize product success.
  • Conduct quarterly market research and competitor analysis to adjust marketing strategies based on market trends and customer behavior.

Campaign Management & Performance Monitoring

  • Manage, monitor, and analyze marketing campaigns, providing detailed reports on their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate product launches and promotional activities, ensuring cross-functional team engagement.
  • Develop and implement measurement frameworks to assess marketing campaign success and inform decision-making.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, segments, customer support) to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and manage team resources to deliver on brand objectives.
  • Oversee the planning of regional and local exhibitions and special events to support sales efforts and product marketing.

Brand Development & Innovation

  • Own the development of the bank’s brand narrative and messaging.
  • Propose new marketing initiatives to strengthen brand recall and awareness.
  • Drive consumer-centric solutions, utilizing insights and data to enhance brand reach and consumer engagement.
  • Oversee public relations and corporate affairs strategies, including stakeholder and crisis communication management.

Budget & Compliance Management

  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the year.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with the applicable laws and policies of Tanzania.

Required Qualifications

Requirement Details
Education University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience 5+ years in a similar marketing leadership role.
Skills Strong brand management, product marketing, and strategic planning skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both English and Swahili).
Technical Skills Proficient in digital marketing tools, campaign management, and marketing analytics.
Other Strong attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines, and a proven track record of driving business growth through effective marketing strategies.
