About the Company
TPC Ltd is one of the most well-respected sugar producers in Tanzania, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, 22 km south of Moshi Municipality. The company is seeking a qualified, energetic, proactive, and dynamic candidate to fill the position of Tax Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Tax Returns with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) and organize tax payments.
- Ensure monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations for all tax-related accounts are completed and up to date.
- Communicate with TRA and Tax Consultants as needed.
- Assist Tax Auditors during tax audits.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain and keep records of company tax assets, liabilities, and outstanding tax matters.
- Respond to tax information requests and queries from TRA, customers, and suppliers.
- Support the Procurement Team to ensure customs and clearing charges comply with legislation.
- Prepare annual tax calculations for year-end reporting, budgeting, and annual returns.
- Provide internal tax training to employees to improve compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized work approach.
- High level of computer proficiency.
- Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or Taxation.
- Minimum of four years of experience in accounting and taxation.
