Job Summary
EY is seeking an experienced Business Consulting Manager to lead consulting engagements across Tanzania. This role involves managing client relationships, driving business growth, and delivering high-quality consulting services to private sector companies, government agencies, NGOs, and financial institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for revenue generation, proposal development, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Business Development
- Manage key client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for Business Consulting services.
- Identify business opportunities, develop proposals, and convert leads into successful projects.
- Establish trust with clients and tailor solutions to meet their unique needs.
- Participate in industry events, workshops, and market engagement initiatives.
Project & Engagement Delivery
- Oversee multiple consulting projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Align EY service offerings with market demands, ensuring continuous growth.
- Provide strategic insights and innovative solutions to address client challenges.
- Ensure engagements meet EY’s quality and risk management standards.
Financial & Revenue Management
- Drive revenue growth by analyzing costs, monitoring utilization, and optimizing project profitability.
- Manage project finances, including invoicing, accounts receivables, and work-in-progress tracking.
- Identify opportunities to expand consulting services and generate new business.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute complex consulting projects successfully.
- Coach and mentor junior consultants, fostering a learning culture.
- Collaborate across EY’s regional and global teams to leverage best practices and expertise.
Required Qualifications
| Requirement | Details |

| Education | MBA, Economics, Public Administration/Policy, or a related master’s degree; Bachelor’s degree with at least Second-Class Upper Honors |
| Experience | Minimum 5 years in leadership roles; at least 2 years in consulting management at a leading firm preferred |
| Industry Knowledge | Experience working with private sector, government, NGOs, or financial institutions |
| Technical Skills | Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills |
| Soft Skills | Excellent communication, relationship management, and project leadership skills |
| Certifications | Relevant professional memberships (e.g., CPA, CDFA) are advantageous |
