Role Overview
Position: Programme Policy Officer (Nutrition)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Application Deadline: August 19, 2024, 23:59 GMT+03:00 East Africa Time
In this role, you will contribute to designing and implementing nutrition, HIV, and school feeding programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Programme Design & Implementation: Develop and manage nutrition-focused projects, ensuring alignment with national priorities and WFP standards.
- Technical Support: Provide strategic advice on nutrition-sensitive programming and support government and community engagement.
- Evidence Generation & Reporting: Track and analyze data, prepare reports, and contribute to resource mobilization and advocacy efforts.
- Partnerships & Capacity Building: Strengthen collaborations with government and non-governmental partners and support capacity building initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Advanced University degree in Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition, Public Health, or related fields.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili.
- Experience: Minimum of three years in nutrition, HIV, school feeding, or public health, with at least two years in programme management and policy development.
