Role: Accounts Payable Supervisor

As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of supplier payments. Your responsibilities will include managing the integrity of accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance with financial standards and laws, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Suppliers Onboarding: Ensure the integrity of the supplier onboarding process.
• Invoice Posting: Accurately post suppliers’ invoices and prepare pay runs.
• Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for vendors and banks, and prepare cashflow projections.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws through proper invoice treatment and timely tax payments.
• Audit Assistance: Assist with external, internal, and statutory audits.
• Reporting: Prepare management reports as required.
• Supplier Communication: Act as the main contact for all supplier invoicing and payment issues.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Certification: Qualified Accountant by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors Tanzania (NBAA) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Pronto or SAP is an advantage) and Excel.
• Communication: Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
