Role Overview
As Superintendent 2 – Process Technical, you will provide technical and metallurgical guidance to the plant production function. Your role will involve supporting plant production activities safely, cost-effectively, and in an environmentally sustainable manner. You will lead the metallurgical team and develop robust production budgets and plans.
Key Responsibilities

Safety, Health, and Environment: Lead HSE programs, promote health and safety awareness, manage hazards, and ensure compliance with standards such as NEMC, ISO14001, and ISO45001.

Technical Support: Monitor key performance metrics, manage metallurgical activities, optimize processes, and explore new technology opportunities. Develop and manage operational best practices and oversee water treatment plant operations.

Business Planning: Develop metallurgical business plans, maintain the metallurgical cookbook, and manage costs, focusing on reagents and overall budget management.

Training and Development: Drive training and development for technical staff, develop individual development plans (IDPs), and facilitate performance reviews.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute improvement ideas to enhance plant performance and align with business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: BSc in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in gold plant operations, including experience with crushing, milling, thickening, and other relevant processes.
