Job Summary
CCBRT is seeking a qualified Internal Auditor to support its internal audit function by evaluating financial transactions, assessing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding financial integrity and improving operational efficiencies within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Compliance
- Assist in planning and conducting internal audits to evaluate financial and operational controls.
- Review financial statements, transactions, and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and fraud detection.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements (IPSAS, IFRS).
Risk Management & Analysis
- Test the functionality and reliability of internal systems and processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, inconsistencies, or anomalies.
- Verify financial records, account reconciliations, and inventory records.
- Support risk management initiatives and recommend improvements to mitigate potential risks.
Reporting & Documentation
- Document audit findings, highlight risks, and propose areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for management review.
- Assist in follow-up activities to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Support & Confidentiality
- Provide administrative and analytical support to the Chief Internal Auditor.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information.
Required Qualifications

| Education | Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field |
| Professional Certification | Certified Public Accountant (CPA), registered with NBAA |
| Experience | 1 – 3 years of audit experience (experience in the health sector is an advantage) |
| Technical Skills | Proficiency in auditing software, SQL, and Microsoft Office packages |
| Additional Advantage | Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification |
| Languages | Fluency in English and Swahili |
| Soft Skills | Strong analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines |
