Big Data Officer at Tigo 

Job type: Full-time

Position: Big Data Officer
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related field.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop descriptive and predictive models using Python, R, SQL, or other relevant tools to enhance product usage strategies and customer segmentation.
  • Analyze trends in product lines, customer behavior, and general business performance to identify opportunities, risks, and patterns.
  • Propose initiatives to senior management based on data insights.
  • Improve customer segmentation techniques for targeted interventions.
  • Discover patterns in data through data mining tools to inform the business about internal or external changes.
  • Deliver machine learning solutions that will drive revenue and reduce costs.

Core Competencies:

  • Proficiency in data analytical tools, with at least two from Python, R, Julia, Tableau, Power BI, ARCGIS/QGIS; SQL is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams.

Position: Government Business Relations Officer
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in corporate sales, dealing with government financial services, banking, and product management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Enhance relationships with government agencies (Mainland & Zanzibar) to align with their growth plans and increase market share in government payments.
  • Foster improved relations with government sectors to expand the agriculture portfolio.
  • Represent the organization in government-related stakeholder meetings, make presentations, and ensure appropriate representation.
