Job Summary
NBC Bank is seeking a Manager Service Center to oversee and manage the overall performance of the Kariakoo Msimbazi Service Center. The role involves driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient operations in line with set targets. The successful candidate will also lead a high-performing team, ensure compliance with banking policies, and enhance NBC Bank’s presence in the community.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Management (20%)
- Allocate duties to team members and set priorities to achieve operational targets.
- Benchmark productivity against industry standards and implement improvement measures.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and take corrective actions where needed.
- Contribute to strategic planning by assessing market trends and customer needs.
2. People Management (30%)
- Supervise and lead a team to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Conduct training programs and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
- Develop recruitment and workforce plans to meet current and future business needs.
- Maintain a succession plan and ensure high staff engagement and motivation.
- Handle performance evaluations, leave approvals, and disciplinary processes as needed.
3. Risk & Compliance Management (15%)
- Implement and oversee branch operational processes as per NBC Bank policies.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and adherence to banking regulations.
- Maintain an up-to-date Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and train staff on their roles.
- Ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
- Manage cash limits, ATM replenishment, and branch security.
4. Achieving Business Targets (20%)
- Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed branch targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and acquire customers from competitors.
- Enhance cross-selling of NBC Bank products and services.
- Drive team performance by implementing world-class banking practices.
5. Community Engagement & Branding (10%)
- Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the community.
- Represent NBC Bank in community events to enhance the bank’s brand visibility.
6. Personal Career Development (5%)
- Stay updated with policies, manuals, and banking regulations.
- Identify personal development areas and pursue relevant training.
- Maintain knowledge of NBC Bank products and services.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Banking & Finance, or Business-related fields.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a banking or financial services environment.
Key Competencies
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent sales and customer relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
