Job Summary

MITU is looking for a Data Manager to join its data team and support project implementation. The role involves managing databases, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and collaborating with the Senior Data Manager to maintain data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Quality Control

• Oversee daily data management tasks, ensuring adherence to GCP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Develop and implement study-specific data management plans.
• Design, validate, and maintain clinical trial databases.
• Manage data entry, validation, and query resolution in a timely manner.

Technical & Database Administration

• Work with software like OpenClinica, OpenDataKit (ODK), and RedCap for data collection and management.
• Ensure electronic data collection devices (tablets, smartphones) are properly handled and maintained.
• Regularly update study databases with resolved queries and ensure accurate data reconciliation.

Reporting & Communication

• Generate periodic reports for the Senior Data Manager on completed tasks and upcoming plans.
• Communicate effectively with research teams to ensure smooth data flow.
• Maintain accurate records of data entry, cleaning, and validation processes.

IT & Statistical Analysis Support

• Provide technical support on data management systems.
• Use statistical packages like STATA or R for data analysis and processing.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Requirements

✔ Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, IT, ICT, or a related field.
✔ Experience in clinical research data management.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
✔ Understanding of programming and database management.
✔ Familiarity with data management systems (e.g., OpenClinica, ODK, RedCap).
✔ Strong IT skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
✔ Excellent communication, organizational skills, and willingness to travel.

Desirable Qualifications

✔ Postgraduate training in clinical research data management.
✔ Experience with data entry, management, and cleaning.
✔ Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
✔ Experience in mobile application development/programming.
