Job Summary
Fema Mining & Drilling Limited is seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join its mechanics department. The selected candidate will undergo a practical training and assessment program before officially being assigned duties. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults, installing and maintaining vehicle electrical components, and ensuring safety standards are met in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults in mining vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical components and wiring systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of safety systems such as alarms and lighting.
- Work with high-voltage systems while following strict safety protocols.
- Perform preventive maintenance and document repairs and modifications.
- Report equipment faults to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams for efficient workflow.
- Adhere to safety regulations, operational procedures, and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Certificate in Auto Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized technical training school.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in auto electrical repairs (experience in mining equipment is an added advantage).
- A Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) is an added advantage.
- Physically and mentally fit for the role.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a site test and a medical check-up before appointment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration.
- Must have a NIDA ID or number and TIN number from the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Introduction letter from local government authority and two referee letters.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Fluency in Kiswahili or English.
