About SFUCHAS

Saint Francis University College of Health and Allied Sciences (SFUCHAS) is a Constituent College of St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT). It is located in Ifakara town in Kilombero District, Morogoro Region, about 420 km southwest of Dar es Salaam and 230 km from Morogoro town. The area is accessible by road from all directions.

The College currently offers the following programs:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Degree
• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Available Positions

SFUCHAS invites applications from qualified and motivated individuals to fill the following academic positions:

Lecturers (12 Posts)

Qualifications:

• PhD or MMed in the respective field.
• Master’s degree and Undergraduate degree with an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher from a recognized institution.

Positions:

1. Lecturer in Physiology
2. Lecturer in Pediatrics and Child Health
3. Lecturer in Internal Medicine
4. Lecturer in Ophthalmology
5. Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology
6. Lecturer in Anesthesia and Critical Care
7. Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
8. Lecturer in Pathology
9. Lecturer in Emergency Medicine
10. Lecturer in Orthopedics and Traumatology
11. Lecturer in Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging
12. Lecturer in Otorhinolaryngology/E.N.T

Assistant Lecturers (2 Posts)

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in the respective field.
• Minimum GPA of 4.0 at the Master’s level and 3.5 at the Undergraduate level.

Positions:

1. Assistant Lecturer in Physiology
2. Assistant Lecturer in Pharmacology

Tutorial Assistants (8 Posts)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MD or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 3.5 from a recognized university.

Positions:

1. Tutorial Assistant in Anesthesiology and Critical Care
2. Tutorial Assistant in Ophthalmology
3. Tutorial Assistant in Psychiatry
4. Tutorial Assistant in Radiology
5. Tutorial Assistant in Physiology
6. Tutorial Assistant in Community Medicine
7. Tutorial Assistant in Clinical Pharmacology
8. Tutorial Assistant in Pathology

Pharmaceutical Technician (1 Post)

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science with a minimum GPA of 3.5 from a recognized institution.
